MUSE INK — PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 7/19/26
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Muse Ink LLC ("Muse Ink," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Muse Ink website, platform, and services (the "Platform"). Muse Ink is a digital collectibles and intellectual property platform for premium comics, art, and licensed properties.
By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: your email address at sign-in. If you use a passkey, we receive authentication confirmation but not your biometric data (your device handles biometrics locally).
- Shipping information: your name and mailing address when you claim or purchase a Physical Item.
- Communications: information you provide when contacting support.
2.2 Information Generated Through Use
- Wallet address: a blockchain wallet address is generated for your account through a third-party wallet provider. This address and your on-chain activity are recorded publicly on the Solana blockchain.
- Collectible and Drop records: which Collectibles you claim, purchase, or own; eligibility; entries into Drops or promotions; and redemption activity.
- Reading and usage activity: which Content you access and how you interact with the Platform.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- IP Partner data: to enable features like the variant cover tracker and eligibility for free claims, an IP Partner may provide data such as a list of crowdfunding backer email addresses and the items each backer owns. We use this solely to authenticate you and power the described features.
- Wallet and authentication providers: provide sign-in and wallet services and may share related technical data with us.
- Commerce providers: when you purchase through a third-party commerce provider, we receive order information needed for fulfillment — name, shipping address, items purchased — but not full payment details, which the provider and its processors handle.
2.4 Events and Conventions
If you claim a Collectible through a physical distribution — scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC-tagged item at a convention or event — we collect the same account information as any sign-up, along with the claim. We may note the campaign or event source to understand which activations perform.
2.5 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, access times.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.
- Analytics: we use third-party analytics providers to understand Platform usage.
2.6 Information We Do Not Collect or Hold
- We do not hold your wallet's private keys or have access to its assets (non-custodial model — see the Terms of Service).
- We do not store full payment card numbers; third-party processors handle payments.
- We do not receive raw biometric data from passkey authentication.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account and wallet;
- Authenticate you and verify eligibility for claims, Drops, and promotions;
- Power Platform features (collector hub, variant tracker, "lit-up" owned Collectibles);
- Operate Drops, including randomized Drops and promotions, and verify entries;
- Fulfill and ship Physical Items;
- Process purchases through our commerce providers;
- Communicate with you about your account, claims, and orders;
- Send you news about drops, releases, activations, and Platform features (you can opt out of marketing email anytime via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us; transactional messages about your account and orders will still be sent);
- Provide support;
- Understand and improve the Platform, including which campaigns and activations perform;
- Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (providing the Platform), legitimate interests (improving and securing the Platform), consent (marketing, where required), and legal obligations.
5. How We Share Information
We share information with:
- Service providers: third-party wallet and authentication providers, commerce and payment providers, fulfillment and shipping providers, and hosting and analytics providers — each only as needed to provide their service.
- IP Partners — campaign analytics: Muse Ink runs digital collectible campaigns on behalf of IP Partners and licensors. We reserve the right to share aggregate, anonymized, and de-identified campaign analytics with the relevant IP Partner or licensor — for example, total claims, total wallets onboarded, redemption rates, regional distribution, and engagement metrics. This does not identify individual users. We do not share your individual personal information (such as your email or name) with IP Partners except where (a) you have consented, (b) it is necessary to fulfill a Physical Item you requested, or (c) it is required to verify eligibility for a claim. Where an IP Partner provides us data (such as a backer list), that data remains the IP Partner's property and is used only to operate the relevant activation.
- The public blockchain: wallet addresses and on-chain transactions are inherently public on Solana and visible to anyone.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Platform.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. Blockchain Data — Important Notice
Information recorded on the Solana blockchain — including your wallet address and transactions — is public, permanent, and outside our control. It cannot be edited or deleted, including by us, even if you delete your account. Anyone can view on-chain activity associated with a wallet address. Consider this before transacting.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We choose privacy-preserving defaults where reasonable.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the Platform, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. IP-Partner-provided data is retained only as long as needed to support the relevant activation, consistent with our agreements with that partner. On-chain data cannot be deleted (Section 6).
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access the information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information (subject to limits, including on-chain data we cannot delete and information we must retain by law); opt out of marketing; opt out of certain data "sales" or "sharing"; data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise rights, contact admin@museink.studio. We respond as required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact admin@museink.studio and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including passkey-based authentication and reliance on established third-party providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication method and access credentials. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law. You use the Platform at your own risk with respect to the security of information transmitted to us.
12. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States; your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may link to or integrate third-party services (marketplaces, payment processors, IP Partner sites). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review them before use.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. The "Last Updated" date reflects the latest version; material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
